This year we celebrated Chinese New Year! The kids made clay figures to represent the year they were born under. Braden was born in the year of the tiger and Ava was the sheep. I searched out decorations, food and chopsticks. Three stores later, I'm pulling up the driveway when my cell phone rings...it was my niece Darcy. She was having a fundraiser for her drama class that night at Chick-fil-a...in thirty minutes. Well, 1. I can't say "no" to her, 2. We love the chick and 3. she was going to be in a munchkin costume!! We threw all the take-out we just picked up in the fridge and called daddy to hurry home. She was adorable and we made more memories.
All decorations were left out and Chinese New Year was celebrated the next night.
