My favorite Dave Ramsey quote is "live like no one else now, so you can live like no one else later." Three years ago we sold our home in Pace, moved into a rental and eventually spent a year and a half in a one bedroom apartment. Today we wrote out a check and signed a contract to build our new home! We faced ridicule from friends and family who thought we had lost our minds and all of our money. We managed to pay off all debts, save a down payment and enough to fully furnish the new house. We also learned several valuable "life" lessons concerning needs/wants and sacrifices. Choosing to not sacrifice our children, we have built a loving home and now are building a beautiful house, with one income and discipline.
